Journal of Middle East Review of Public Policy and Administration
Editorial Philosophy
MERPPA seeks to support graduate students and early career scholars by providing a credible platform for research contributions and enabling emerging scholars to participate in rigorous academic debates.
All articles are expected to demonstrate a clear theoretical focus. The central objective of the journal is to broaden the application of leading public policy and administration theories to the Middle East. Many established theoretical frameworks were developed in Western contexts characterized by consolidated democratic institutions, pluralistic political systems, and relatively transparent governance structures. MERPPA aims to apply, test, and refine these frameworks through empirical research conducted in Middle Eastern settings, thereby contributing to both regional scholarship and broader theoretical development.
To ensure wide dissemination and accessibility, MERPPA operates as an open access journal. All published articles are freely available to readers without subscription fees. Authors can share the final published PDF on their personal or institutional websites and to distribute it within their professional networks, provided that full citation to the journal is maintained.
