Message from the President

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome to the Association for Middle Eastern Public Policy and Administration (AMEPPA).

AMEPPA is committed to advancing excellence in public policy and administrative across the Middle East by fostering knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and professional development. We provide a platform for scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and students to engage in meaningful dialogue and collectively address the region’s complex governance challenges.

Since its establishment in 2011 and institutionalization at The American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2017, AMEPPA has grown into an important regional community of scholars and practitioners. This growth reflects the dedication of many colleagues who have served as presidents, vice presidents, board members, and active participants in our conferences and other activities. I extend my sincere appreciation to all those who have contributed to building and strengthening AMEPPA over the years.

Our annual conference and our dedicated journal, the Middle East Review of Public Policy and Administration (MERPPA), are central to our mission. They provide valuable platforms for advancing scholarship and connecting research with pressing policy and administrative challenges in the region.

Looking ahead, AMEPPA will continue to strengthen its regional and international partnerships, expand opportunities for research and professional collaboration, and support the next generation of public policy and administration scholars and practitioners. I encourage you to remain actively engaged with AMEPPA and contribute your ideas, research, and experience to our growing community.
