About the St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University
St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University was founded in 1899. Recently its name changed to the National Research University, but still is known as St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University. The university is recognized by Russian and international scholars in the field of higher education in engineering and economics and remains at the leading ranking institution in Russian higher education in engineering. The university has 30197 undergraduate and graduate students. 3056 of them are foreign citizens, representing 98 different countries.
