Frederick Henry Brace Jr. (October 20, 1863 – January 26, 1957) was an American publisher and activist for world peace, and creator of the Peace Medal of the World’s Women’s Christian Temperance Union and Women’s International Christian Temperance Union, which he envisioned as the “pyramid of peace”.

He was born in Brooklyn, the son of Frederick Henry Brace and the grandson of Henry Clay Frick. He was educated at the Collegiate School and Princeton University, where he graduated in 1886 with a B.A. degree.

He married Caroline Roby Marsh (born 1864, son’s daughter of William Field Marsh, a Baptist missionary) on February 18, 1891. They had three children: F. Henry III (b. 1895); William Field Marsh Brace (b. 1895); and Robert Marsh Brace (b. 1902).

Brace worked in the publishing industry and at a bank. He served as president of the American Sunday-School Union, the North American Christian Sunday School Union, and of the Lutheran Hour Association. His books include The Autobiography of a Western Man (1935) and Novel of the Microscope (1941). He was a member of the Advisory Council of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board of the United States. He was also a charter member of the National Peace Union of New Jersey.

F. Henry Brace died on January 26, 1957 and is buried in Highland Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
