What is the difference between ‘int’ and ‘int32’ in Go?

Hello Go Expert here.
I’m having some trouble getting my head around this. I’ve read the Specification, and I think I understand that int doesn’t actually mean “integer,” but rather that its underlying type is int. However, int32 does mean “integer” – a 32-bit integer right?
So that brings me back to my initial question. What is the difference between the two terms? I mean, I understand that they are both 32-bit values, but what is the underlying type? I’m trying to figure out a way to create a type that is effectively an int32, but without actually requiring that it be one.
A trivial example:

This code illustrates that Int32 doesn’t appear to provide the behavior I want, which is to have the same behavior of a basic int32. If Int32 doesn’t behave like an int32, I’m not sure what it’s purpose is.
The only thing I can think of is that it’s some sort of pointer, but I couldn’t find anywhere in the specification that it specifically states that it’s a pointer.

As an example, if you have a pointer to an int, you can use the underlying type as a value, but not as a pointer. A pointer to a pointer to a int would be a valid pointer to an int.
