“Sun, Moon and Stars – the Art of Chinese Painting” “I am someone else” –
artist, historian, meditation. from the Zhe Chu brotherhood for generations, “I am somebody else” has gained a new lease of life as a sign of the oneness of all life.
an artist once told me that the biggest problem he saw for his visual imagery was a lack of unity. In fact, many of the things that he taught us had to do with finding and realizing unity. And here I am telling you about finding unity with the stars.
There are people who can make things happen if they think they can. Others who reach out and touch the moon. and the stars. We all hear about people who have absolutely extraordinary visions. It is not that they are alone in being able to see what other people have trouble seeing. They are not alone in being able to believe.
I am showing you that by being able to see the unity of our world, I can see the unity of everyone. I am showing you that unity is the most basic thing. When you can see that there is no such thing as “somebody else” you can see.
That is what my first painting tries to do. The point of seeing that there is no one else but you.. my wife and many of my friends believe that this is the greatest question.
I can understand why people feel that way because I cannot believe that I would be the only one here, with you.. I must see there is no one else. I am trying to lead you to see the truth of unity.
. I love you. I am your brother, your sister, your mother, your father and your brother.. There is no such thing as “somebody else”.
You have all come to our planet without any thought of who you are, without any thought of who I am. Yet we are all of one piece; we are all connected. I am trying to tell you that it is this unity that is behind the illusions of duality.
The next painting is a continuation of the first. How can we see the unity of our planet when there are still differences between what I am and what you are?
This is the role of Zhi Chu . While you are on this earth, I remain on my planet. This is the science of our world. The science of all worlds. I cannot think of myself without thinking of your world.
