POV Sphere Mosaic Free

POV Sphere Mosaic is a Photoshop plugin for converting the colour images into 3D mosaic with POV-Ray based 3D model and rendering them into a spherical panorama. 3D scene is written in POV-Ray format. It consists of many PNG files of spherical objects. Each PNG represents one sphere object, with correct colour, size, z-axis length and with the right z-axis angle. As a result of importing the PNG image files into the plugin, the PNG files are automatically imported, coloured, scaled up and exported into 3D scene.

Features of POV Sphere Mosaic:

■ You can export images into 3D mosaic format
■ You can export spherical panorama into several formats for working with most of image editors including Photoshop, Lightroom, Gimp, Photoshop Elements, XnView, IrfanView or other viewers
■ You can export spherical panorama into POV-Ray as a scene and render the scene. You don’t need a copy of POV-Ray to work with the final image
■ You can generate an image sequence to create animation
■ You can perform the export automatically and quickly

POV-Ray panorama in XnView (0.97).
I would recommend to use POV-Ray to build the spherical scene, as it offers the flexibility in objects placement and modification as well as most of the support for importing images in the real size.
In order to export the whole scene to PNG file, you have to:

set export view: close
set export as (jpg): you can create a new image sequence in XnView and set it in the export view

The exported PNG file is a panorama, which fits to the OpenGl view of XnView perfectly.
